Dedicated to animal welfare, enrichment, and conservation — and building toward a future in full-stack development.
I'm a primate keeper and zookeeper with a deep love for the animals in my care. My days are built around the things that keep a collection thriving — daily husbandry, diet preparation, behavioral enrichment, training, and the close observation that catches a problem before it becomes one.
From gentoo penguins to capybaras and primates, I believe great animal care comes down to patience, consistency, and genuinely knowing each individual. The orca — my favorite animal — is a constant reminder of why this work matters: intelligent, social, and worth protecting.
Lately I've been channeling that same curiosity into technology. I'm learning full-stack development from the ground up, and this website is one of my first projects — designed and built as I grow those skills.
A look at the animals I work with and the care that goes into every day — husbandry, enrichment, and the small moments in between. Tap any photo to view it full size.
Animal care taught me to be observant, methodical, and calm under pressure — the same instincts good software takes. I'm now learning to build for the web, one project at a time.
This website is exhibit one: hand-built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and deployed on Cloudflare. It's a work in progress, just like my journey into development — and I'm genuinely excited about where it's headed.
